Groups programs are predominantly
Tauranga. based program. 2 .5 hours from Auckland International Airport by bus and your group will have arrived at the city of Tauranga, population 110,000. With a very mild climate and an impeccable safety record, it is a perfect location for group programs.
Introduction
Group Educational Tours and Homestay programs are designed to each group’s requirements. From 4 nights to 4 weeks, itineraries can be prepared to suit. A large variety of activity options are available. Each itinerary will vary in content, however they are all based on a similarstructure.
Structure
The focus of the program is the immersion into New Zealand culture by staying with a New
Zealand family. Time is spent with the host family in the weekday evenings and throughout the free weekends. During weekday mornings the group attends ESL (English as a second language) or English activity lessons. In the afternoons local activities are arranged which can include sightseeing, adventure activities, cultural visits, technical visits and volunteer help.
Overnight excursions to other major centres as well as farmstays, are also an important part of the group program. As well as being fun, these excursions help create a strong bond within the group which adds to the overall experience.
Guides and local staff
All group homestay programs are fully guided and coordinated by Let’s Homestay staff. Specialised
activities include experienced staff and instructors. A 24 support service is provided
and counselling for troubled students and/or hosts. All transfers are arranged in air-conditioned coaches with professional, courteous drivers.
